Been about 2-3 months since I've written here, have been and still am extremely busy trying to finish up with school.
Shermon: Very sorry I haven't checked xanga since today! Hope everything is good with you, give me a shout when your back in Hong Kong!
I am currently in the busiest time of my life and yet these are the times which really motivate me to come to this website and write a few things...sure does show how much I procrastinate about studying.
I have been noticing some funny behaviour amongst our fellow KGVers recently...some people (and I'm not mentioning any names) are becoming extremely sappy and corny. Perhaps this is what happens to you when you grow up who knows! Seems kinda gay in my opinion, but nevertheless not a bad thing in that respect.
Been eating shit loads, of course this is supposedly meant to help my brain churn up facts and figures for my exams, but it seems like it's only been fueling my appetite and my horizontal growth.
I have officially finished classes forever and I am waiting for my last exam in which I am doomed, corporate finance is something that has not and perhaps never will click with me.
I'm trying to think about some funny things that happened to me recently and one thing that I can think of off the top of my head is just a few days ago.
I don't mean to repeat my stories over and over again, but having experienced this problem again and in a much more embarrassing way I think I have some serious issues I need resolved.
So a few days ago, my coworkers and I went out for an early lunch. Someone had booked a room at a japanese restaurant nearby. I set out early with one of the 5 people that were supposed to go for lunch to the bank so that I could get some cash at the nearby ATM machine.
Of course Hong Kong being one of those countries that experience nasty tropical weather, it was raining quite heavily as we stepped out of the building.
Me, wearing pants that dragged a little, I picked up each pant leg with each hand and proceeded to run to the ATM machine with my coworker. After getting some money we ran to the restaurant.
This restaurant has one of those room in which you sit on the floor to eat, but unlike a traditional japanese restaurant where you really have to sit cross legged on the floor, this room cheated and had a hidden deep pit under the table for you to stick your feet and sit as though your sitting on a chair.
NOW, this restaurant or room meant that you have to take your shoes off to enter. So this is what we did. Initally things were ok, we sat there waiting for the rest of the people to arrive. When they did, came this horrible smell....smell of stinky feet. I thought that it was my other coworker who had just arrived so I ignored it. My other coworker kept on saying it was stinky and was looking around. I just kept on thinking it was the other person sitting next to me...so I guess I made it seem like it wasn't me. I kept on sitting their nonchalantly waiting for our meals to arrive.
I dunno if everyone had smelt the smell, but it seemed uncomfortably silent during lunch. I couldn't even smell it once lunch arrived, so being me, I kept on eating and eating until I was done.
We were walking our after paying the bill and about to put our shoes back on when my coworker said out loud that she knew why it was so stinky...coz it was raining and that our shoes were wet. Either way I shrugged it off coz I was so damn sure that it wasn't my feet that stank. It started to stink after my other coworkers arrived so couldn't have been me!
We worked throughout the day and had this important meeting after lunch. Funnily there were so many people there that there weren't enough seats for us all, some of us, ME had to stand up throughout the whole meeting. Half way through the meeting I had to sit down on the floor (3 inch heels is not good to be standing in). My coworker was also sitting on floor next to me, and all of a sudden there seemed to be a faint smell. I shrugged that off again, couldn't be me!
So the whole day passes and I go home and then I take of my shoes and being me, I decided to check if my shoes smelt, so I took a whiff...and ofcourse the smell was exactly the same as the stench during lunch, meeting and of course at my desk.
I don't know why my feet smell so much...especially at the most awkward times too...funny thing was that I kept on thinking that it was someone else's feet and not mine. Either way I'm sure everyone else knew....
